Solar Power for your
Home
Thank goodness for the sun. Let me explain.
As the world continues to use up its supply of oil and
coal, we have come to rely more and more on renewable
energy sources, namely solar energy, wind energy and hydro
power or water energy.
It is difficult to use hydro power for individual homes, but
solar energy can be used by individuals and quite easily too.
In fact, we now have solar powered cars, solar heated
swimming pools, and solar heated homes, and this reduces our
reliance on fossil fuels.
We can easily harness the sun's energy using solar panels,
which can then be connected to an appliance, using a registered
electrician. The solar panel consists of grids, or photovoltaic
cells which collect the sunlight as efficiently as possible.
Since there are more solar panels in use these days, their cost
has come down significantly since the early days.

You may have seen photovoltaic cells by the roadside for
lighting roadsigns, or roadwork signs, or even in your
calculator if it is solar powered.
Yes, there is definitely a need for more people to use solar
power, to reduce there dependency on the elctricity grid they
currently use. Even if you don't switch over to a home using
all solar power, you can still save by using a few solar
panels, and thus reduce your monthly electricity
bills.
