Renewable Energy

There's lots of talk about using renewable energy sources, but what are these, and who can use them and why should they?

Renewable energy sources are those sources of energy that are not going to be used up. For example solar power, energy from the sun, is always going to be available, and likewise, wind power will always be available, and hydro, or water power too.

Fuel sources like coal and oil will not always be available, since we are using up supplies of these, without new sources being formed. And of course, it is no good the earth having sources of these fuels, if we are unable to mine them and take them out of the earth.

So it makes sense to use renewable energy sources, and by introducing and using them now while we still have the option of using our regular sources of power, we can do so gradually. This is good since it may be quite expensive to get enough solar panels to produce all the electricity for your home, but by using a few, saving on your monthly power bill and then investing in some more solar panels we can gradually reduce our reliance on the electrical grid of your city.
